Kyle Winder

Kyle Winder spent a decade serving his country as a United States Air Force Veteran, a decorated C-130 Instructor Pilot, and combat mission commander. After separating from the Air Force as a Captain, Kyle embarked upon a career in the financial services industry, managing a stock and options trading partnership. After Earning a master’s degree in Wealth and Trust Management from Campbell University, Kyle accepted a position with The Fidelity Bank, first as Trust Operations Officer, and later as Managing Director of the Trust & Investment Management department, where he oversaw the financial management for some of North Carolina’s wealthiest families. In 2014 Kyle joined Principal Financial Group and founded his own firm, Flight Plan Financial, which focuses on risk management, investment management, retirement income solutions, and exit planning and succession strategies. Today, Kyle also serves as the President of Edward Spencer Employee Benefits Group (ESEBG), a certified Veteran Owned managed services provider focusing on assisting companies in designing efficient, effective, and scalable employee benefits plans. At the end of 2020, ESEBG negotiated an affinity partnership between Principal Financial Group and the Defense Alliance of North Carolina (DANC). Accordingly, DANC members can now take advantage of unique opportunities, benefits, and cost savings from Principal and benefit from ESEBG’s experience, consultative approach, cutting edge technology, and concierge level human resource support.

Frank Ferraro

After spending six years in the US Army, followed by college graduation, Frank built a long and successful career in the technology and computer industry in Sales and Sales Management. He has a proven track record of taking new “startup” companies and territories from inception to successful revenue producing organizations. He started his career in the moving and storage industry with John’s Moving & Storage in Raleigh, NC as Director of Sales and Marketing before joining All American in 2009.
Frank is one of the founding members of the North Carolina Defense Business Association, in 2009 which merged with the North Carolina Military Foundation in 2019 forming what is now the Defense Alliance of North Carolina (DANC). During this time, he has supported, and participated in numerous events and special projects. He is dedicated to the mission has recruited new members and worked as part of the membership committee to retain existing memberships.
Frank is the Chairman of Products and Services committee, as well as a member and contributor on the Special Events and Membership committees. He has actively participated as the co-chair of the Annual Golf Tournament every year since its inception. Frank has a warm and genuine personality and maintains a good relationship with existing, and new, members. He does not hesitate to go over and above for DANC.
