The Defense Contractor Academy hosted by the North Carolina Military Business Center will offer an intermediate-level of instruction to existing, small business defense contractors to provide the tools needed to grow the federal portion of their business portfolio.
“The Defense Contractor Academy provides the advanced skills businesses need in federal business development, competitive processes and federal contracting procedures to grow in the federal marketplace – and to grow jobs in North Carolina,” – Scott Dorney, Executive Director of the NCMBC.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Defense Contractor Academy will be held in a virtual platform during the month of March 2021.
Cost. $30 per person, to participate in the entire series of twelve (12) instructional sessions and a mailed certificate of completion.
Platform. The NCMBC will host these webinars in an online platform with Zoom for Government. Information will be provided prior to each training session by email.

The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) is a business development organization and a collaborative effort between North Carolina businesses and the North Carolina Community College System. Created by the North Carolina General Assembly and opened in 2005, the NCMBC operates from offices at ten community colleges across the state, under the supervision of Fayetteville Technical Community College.
